12-Year-Old Gives Christmas Gifts To Homeless

12-year-old Jake Clendening of St. Andrew's, Pearland asked that some of his Christmas present money go to helping him take care of the homeless this year.

With some help, Jake was able to put together 21 bags of gifts for homeless people that included socks, a beanie, chapstick, an energy bar, shampoo, shower gel, deodorant, toothpaste, a toothbrush, wet wipes, kleenex, and a little note with a Bible verse on a 3x5 card. The theme of the Bible verses were hope and love.

Jake took a handful of others including Jenn Neitzey, his Youth Minister, with him and set out for Houston. It was all enthusiasm on delivery day, and Christmas at home had a deeper meaning.
