50th Anniversary of Ordination Celebrated with Tree Planting
O'Steen looks on as parishioners
add soil to the trees 

The Rev. Joe O'Steen, associate at St. Andrew's in Pearland, celebrated his 50th anniversary of ordination on Sunday by planting trees at the church. 

 

"Few clergy get to their 50th and are still active in a parish," said the Rev. Jim Liberatore, rector of St. Andrew's.

 

Two morning Eucharists ended with a procession out to the trees where the church had a dedication and each threw soil on the trees to finish the planting in honor of O'Steen.
