Bishop Andy Doyle to Attend Archbishop's Enthronement

Bishop Andy Doyle will attend the enthronement of the new Archbishop of Canterbury on March 21 at Canterbury Cathedral at the invitation of Archbishop Justin Welby.

“I’m delighted to have received the invitation and I look forward to join bishops and other guests from around the Anglican Communion for this historic occasion. The Diocese of Texas has always supported--in any way we could--the office of Archbishop and I welcome our new Archbishop as he steps into a uniquely challenging and promising role,” said Bishop Doyle.

The Archbishop of Canterbury is considered one of the four instruments of Communion of the Anglican Communion; the others are the Lambeth Conferences, the Primates Meetings and the Anglican Consultative Council.
