Camp Allen raised a record $240,000 for programming and scholarships during a star-filled evening night at the Junior League in Houston for the annual Starry Nights and Campfire Lights gala. More than 300 Camp Allen fans gathered to honor Mary Frances and Larry Gipson (former St. Martin's rector) who sported mini-cowboy hats to show their Camp Allen spirit and support.

The Rev. Patrick Miller, in fine auctioneering form, welcomed and cajoled party goers from Conroe, Angleton, Temple, Austin, Houston and beyond.  Miller kept the audience roaring as they dug deep to support the more than 400 children who benefit from the fundraising event.

"I am so grateful for the spirit of this evening," said Camp Allen's President, George Dehan. "This event and everyone who participates in anyway--whether planning or attending—helps children who otherwise would never have the unique experience Summer Camp offers. I wish you all could see those faces every summer!"
