EDOT Seeks Applications for Bayou City Service Corps

Bayou City Service Corps logoBayou City Service Corps, an initiative of the Diocese of Texas, is an opportunity for young adults to take the time and space needed to be challenged: to search for truth, work for justice, and live deliberately.

Fellows, ages 18-32, will spend a year together, living in a house in the heart of Houston, TX, sharing meals and a common way of life. They will seek to live out the meaning of intentional community: making shared decisions and living simply and sustainably. Each fellow will work 40 hours per week in a non-profit or religious organization that addresses needs and challenges of the Houston community. The first class of Bayou City fellows will begin their service year August 5, 2013.

Bayou City Service Corps is seeking applications for non-profit host sites that will employ Fellows as well as applications from young people interested in becoming Bayou City Fellows.
