Episcopal Night with the Astros Set for Friday, September 14

banner_astros 2012

Episcopalians from across Texas will gather at Minute Maid Park on Friday, September 14 as the Houston Astros face the Philadelphia Phillies. Bishop Andy Doyle will throw out the first pitch, and the Astros will put on a fireworks show after the game. To take advantage of discounted ticket prices, click here. A portion of every sale will benefit the Episcopal Church, and the Astros will also be giving away a fleece blanket to the first 10,000 fans.

Christ Church Cathedral will host its hotdog cookout again this year before the game. They will start serving the free hotdogs with fixings and beverages including beer at 5 p.m. The offer extends to others throughout the Diocese to gather at the Cathedral for the pre-game cookout (just four blocks from Minute Maid Park). The cookout is always a big hit.  Contact Melissa White with any questions: 713.590.3302.
