Associate to Database Services

The Diocese of Texas has hired Andre Kierkiewicz as the new assistant to the controller. With the creation of this new position, Sue Edmonson has transitioned from her former position as financial assistant to the associate to database services.

Kierkiewicz will perform general ledger entries and reconciliation, accounts payable voucher data entries and assist the controller with annual audits and other tasks.

“We’re excited to welcome Andre to our staff," said controller Allison McCloskey. "The addition of his unique skills and personality will be a great help to our office.”

Kierkiewicz is a native of Poland and graduated from the University of Lodz before moving to the U.S. in 2009. He now lives in Pearland where he attends St. Andrew's.

In her new role with database services, Edmonson will be instrumental in gathering information from churches about those who receive the quarterly Diolog magazine, those who serve as licensed lay leaders, and those who serve in any capacity that requires lay background checks.

“Having Sue on the database services team full-time will allow us to serve the churches in a more focused and directed manner," said Shirley Platt, manager of database services. "I’m so happy to have her on board.”

Edmonson has been a diocesan staff member since 2003. She is a lifelong member of St. John the Divine, Houston.
