Formation Is an Anchor for Evangelism and Growth Bishop Payne Writes in New Book

reclaiming christianity book coverRetired Bishop of Texas, Claude E. Payne, has released his latest book, Reclaiming Christianity. The book offers church leaders a practical model to nurture an open, deepening and visibly strengthened spiritual life as an anchor for evangelism and growth.

Bishop Payne writes that his intention for Reclaiming Christianity is to help Christians “unprivatize their faith” by learning to live and speak about their intimate relationship with God as openly as they speak about politics, family life or work.

Through personal stories collected over decades of ministry, Bishop Payne showcases the vision, structure and implementation of this formation model and illustrates how the theory has been successfully practiced in the Church around the globe.

“Bishop Payne offers a road map to guide leaders and members of their congregations in crafting deeper relationships with God, the church and one another as disciples,” said the Rt. Rev. C. Andrew Doyle, Bishop of Texas. “Bishop Payne’s personal spiritual journey and his illumination of best practices by some of the most successful congregational leaders today, challenges the Church to deepen its collective sense of faith through spiritual growth and evangelism.”

The book is now available from Forward Movement.  $15/each (bulk pricing available for churches and groups)
