Houston's Youth Interfaith Program Seeks Applicants

ilead interfaithInterfaith Ministeries of Greater Houston (IMGH) recently began a youth leadership program called iLead. The program is seeking applications from current 9th-11th graders in order to "cultivate confident, respectful and engaged leaders who embrace their own faith traditions and embody effective multicultural leadership skills in their personal and professional lives."

Apply here.

The program was recently featured in the Houston Chronicle, detailing an iLead forum which featured three Houston church leaders finding common ground on social justice issues.

During the course of their year in iLead, students are challenged to explore their own religion as well as others, and they are given the tools to become a leader in their communities, meeting with religious and non-profit leaders, and even taking a trip to the state capitol.
