Kingwood Church Installs Stained Glass

Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, Kingwood, recently installed a series of beautiful stained glass windows after a campaign of more than a decade.

After collecting donations from 2000 to 2002 the church awarded a contract to Statesville Stained Glass Inc. of Statesville, N. Carolina, a company that has been designing, fabricating and installing stained glass windows for over 40 years. They developed a master plan specifically for the windows at Good Shepherd Church.

In 2013, further donations were given to complete the upper clerestory windows in the north and south transepts plus two larger windows at the rear of the church depicting Jesus with the little children and the Good Samaritan. The 24 clerestory windows depict a number of biblical symbols and many were dedicated by church families in memory of loved ones or for thanksgiving. The windows were installed May 11, 2014 and consecrated by the Rev. Bill Richter.
