St. Christopher's Episcopal Church is sending more
dresses and pants to Malawi

The Rev. Dr. Tom Day and the parish staff of St. Christopher's, League City, gathered on August 12 for a midday blessing of the latest seeds "sewed" for the children of Southern Malawi. The children’s clothing will be delivered directly to Malawi by artist Massa Lemu, as he returns to his country. For the second time this summer, dresses and pants will reach the children in Malawi. The garments carried by Lemu were made by the ladies of St. Christopher since the Sew Africa event in March.

The first blessing of 100 little dresses and pants was in May, six weeks after the first stitch. As part of their own mission trip in June, St. Albans, Waco, carried the garments to Malawi for distribution.  We extend once again our gratitude to the St. Albans mission team for the faithful delivery of the suitcases to the diocesan address in Blantyre.

Another parish-wide Sew Africa event is planned for November. For additional information, please call 281.332.5553 or visit www.stchrischurch.org.
