Austin Haller Organ
Organist Austin Haller with the 100-year-old organ

St. David’s, Austin, is pleased to announce a Centennial Organ Concert and Hymn Festival, in celebration of the 100th birthday of its 55-rank Pilcher/Hoffman organ, which has enriched many thousands of worship services and concerts since its installation in 1911.

This concert and hymn festival will be offered on Monday, September 26, at 7:30 p.m. in the historic church. It will include virtuosic works by St. David’s organist Austin Haller, as well as David Stevens, tenor; Mary Elizabeth Ashton, soprano; and Timothy Shaffer, trumpet; and it will also include festive and dynamic singing of the great hymnody of the church.

Advanced tickets are $15 and will be available September 6-25 at www.stdave.org  and in the St. David’s Coffee & Gifts shop. Tickets are $20 at the door. All proceeds benefit the St. David’s Organ Endowment Fund, which allows for the glorification of God through music for this and future generations.

Complimentary parking is available in the St. David’s garage at 8th and Trinity Streets. A reception will follow in Sumners Hall.
