St. David's Hosts Downtown Posada

St. David’s Episcopal Church will host a Christmas-related event to honor the Hispanic culture. On Saturday, December 17, at 5:30 p.m., the community is invited to gather at St. David’s to re-enact the Posada. The Posada commemorates Joseph and Mary’s journey to Bethlehem in search of shelter prior to Jesus’ birth.

St. David’s Posada will include a procession led by children, followed by adults and musicians, including Mariachi Relampago. The procession will make its way through various buildings at St. David’s, ending at Trinity Center where everyone will feast on food and other treats.

The festivities, which are family-friendly, will begin on the Labyrinth at St. David’s located at 301 East 8th Street between Trinity and San Jacinto Streets.
