St. Martin's, Houston, Hosts Faith Summit

On August 11th, pastors, ministers, and those who serve and advocate for children will be gathering for St. Martin's third annual Faith Summit. Houston is ranked among the lowest in the nation among cities regarding several critical aspects of caring for children. The Faith Summit will provide up-to-date information on the issues and current needs of at-risk children and ways to respond.

St. Martin's will join other congregations in the city to pray for the following issues for the children in Houston:

  • Food in Schools
  • Poverty
  • Teachers and Educators
  • Student Engagement
  • Parents as Advocates College Readiness Engagement of the Church Community

The summit will be held on Thursday, August 11, 11:00 AM-1:00 PM in Bagby Parish Hall. Registration begins at 10:30 AM. The summit is sponsored by a growing number of congregations and ministries. The $15 registration fee includes lunch, as well as a printed prayer guide and additional information on children’s issues.
