St. Martin's Plans Outreach Weekend Across Houston

St. Martin's OutreachOn the weekend of March 24-25, St. Martin’s, Houston, will celebrate its outreach efforts in the community by organizing a activities both on and off campus. The off-campus activities include hosting a food fair at San Mateo Episcopal Church, organizing food and clothing at C.C.S.C., cook-outs at Covenant House and Open Door Mission, landscaping at The Forge and Holly Hall and much more.

 

The on-campus activities are concentrated on Sunday, March 25, from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM at the church campus at 717 Sage Road. Parishioners will make sandwiches for Kids’ Meals, package hygiene kits and care packages for the homeless, assemble bicycles for Elves & More, knit prayer shawls, decorate Christmas stockings for Child Advocates, make Easter baskets for Westside Homeless Partnership, write cards to the troops in Afghanistan, decorate book bags for the children at Amistad Mission in Bolivia, sew badges for Boy Scouts at Yellowstone Academy and much more.

 

St. Martin’s Episcopal Church donates a portion of its annual operating budget to worthwhile agencies in our community, and works to enhance those financial donations through gifts of time and talent.
