St. Martin's to Host Free Health Fair

St. Martin's Episcopal Church will hold its Ninth Annual Health Fair on Saturday, August 25, at the Marion Park in southwest Houston. The fair will attract about 1,000 medically underserved children and parents. Other participants this year include Epiphany Community Health Outreach Services (ECHOS), Episcopal Church of The Epiphany, St. Luke's United Methodist Church, Texas Children's Hospital, St. Thomas Episcopal Church and University of Texas Dental School.

 

Texas Children's Hospital and the University of Texas Dental Branch, respectively, will provide immunizations to the children and dental checkups to the adults and children. Other vendors will provide blood pressure and glucose testing, vision testing and glasses, counseling in mental health, and information about enrolling in CHIP and identifying Health homes in the area. Southwest area Health Clinics will be helping families and individuals to establish a health home.
