In a flurry of bagpipes and smiling faces, the Rt. Rev. Dena Harrison, bishop suffragan of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas and a St. Stephen’s board chair, dedicated the Roger Bowen Arts Studios, the Michael and Susan Dell pedestrian green, the Wycliff-Freeman dormitory complex and a new daycare center for the children of faculty and staff.
The 7,500 square-foot Roger Bowen Arts Studios will house the school’s Theatre Focus and digital and film programs. The Dell pedestrian center, which includes limestone paths and flower beds of native Hill Country plants, unites the central 10-acres of campus with additional green space. The two-story Wycliff-Freeman Dormitory complex was completed during the summer and now serves as home to 60 boarding students. Ten new faculty family residences were built alongside the dorm.
