St. Thomas the Apostle Partners To Help Eradicate Hunger

Responding to needs in Nicaragua, St. Thomas the Apostle, Nassau Bay, will partner with Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, April 28-29 to help pack food that will ship to Convoy of Hope in the Central American country. Organized by non-profit Rise Against Hunger, the event will include a dedicated youth packing time on Saturday, April 29.

Each packed bag of food costs $0.29 and donations to cover the cost of the bags are also being accepted. Formerly known as Stop Hunger Now, Rise Against Hunger began in 1998 with a mission to end hunger by “providing food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable and creating a global commitment to mobilize the necessary resources,” according to the organization's website.
