Trinity, Galveston Receives $1.5 Million Grant

Trinity, Galveston recently received a $1.5 million grant from the Moody Foundation for the restoration and renovation of Eaton Hall. According to the Rev. Susan Kennard, “the gift makes many things possible for Trinity and for Galveston as a whole.” The resulting updates will provide an accessible, air-conditioned and beautiful space for events. “I have assured the trustees that they will see life, service, action, fellowship and education of all kinds taking place in the sacred space of Eaton Hall,” Kennard said.

Trinity celebrates the 175th anniversary of its founding. “In 1841, visionary leaders rolled onto our beautiful island with a passion for proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ. We give thanks for them today, and we give thanks for a new generation of visionary leaders with the same courage and commitment to Christ,” Kennard added.
