Trinity Parishioners Send Personalized Postcards to Invite Friends

Last year, a parishioner of Trinity, The Woodlands, brought Nick Earl a postcard from a Lutheran church, inviting them to church. As new member ministry coordinator, Earl recognized a good idea when he saw it, and he planned to produce similar postcards for Trinity.

"It's such a simple idea," Earl said. "The postcard space for a personal message makes for a much better invitation."

Trinity used this poster to advertise the availability of postcards for parishioners

The Trinity postcards feature a painting of the church on one side and Trinity's contact information and Christmas services on the other side. Half of the backside is reserved for a traditional postcard greeting.

The painting was created by a parishioner, and Earl used Vistaprint to to order 250 postcards for just $50. Earl encourages other churches to try this simple invitation strategy.
