Earlier this year, we reported that Trinity Episcopal School in Galveston received a $2.7 million grant from the Moody Foundation to build a new gym. The new facility will be named the Robert L. and Ann Moody Activity Center.

The Bishop of Texas, Andy Doyle, visited Galveston for the historic ground-breaking at the campus, which is home to one of the oldest churches in the Diocese of Texas. The Rev. David Dearman is the head of school at Trinity, which enrolls students from pre-k through 8th grade.

"Discussions for a gymnasium and activity center have been on the minds and in the hearts of our families for many years, but always have been tabled because of more pressing facility needs," Dearman told the Galveston Daily News in February. "We are thankful beyond words that The Moody Foundation is making this long-standing need and dream a reality for our students."
