Trinity Episcopal Church, The Woodlands, is pleased to announce the adoption of a Master Plan that will completely revitalize its 6.2-acre campus at 3901 South Panther Creek Drive, The Woodlands, TX.

The product of a 5-year strategic assessment, the Master Plan will replace five current one-story buildings with four new two-story ones better suited to support current ministries and community outreach, while creating spaces for new programs and efforts tomorrow. The plan was developed by Houston-based Merriman Holt Architects working with a committee of church members and others in the parish to determine what the parish needed today and what support The Woodlands community would require for tomorrow.

The design includes new campus entrances that invite and guide the visitor and member alike as well as new fellowship and gathering space and new community, performance, recreation, arts, outreach and administration spaces. Trinity currently hosts over 70 ministries and provides meeting space for over 850 people each week in 17 different recovery groups as well as art, music, fitness and English language classes.

The Master Plan also includes new and larger facilities for the 100-student Trinity pre-school (TEDS) and the children’s ministry (Trinity’s Kids Corner) that provides screened, trained and faith-based childcare for over 10,000 children each year.

Other new features include a multi-purpose community space that can seat 800 people for conferences or performances and also function as a mini-gym for indoor play and recreation. A key addition will be new “chapel in the woods” for weddings, funerals and small worship services of 200-250 attendees.

When construction is complete, building space on the new campus will more than double to nearly 62,000 square feet to maximize site usage while maintaining natural spaces and views of the exterior gardens and woodlands.

Communication strategies were developed and implemented by KEPHA Resources, Inc. of Richmond, Texas, a company specializing in helping churches and non-profit organizations communicate better in the 21st Century.

Current plans are to start the first phase of the new Master Plan with an assessment study in the late spring of 2014 and a dedicated capital campaign in the fall of 2014 with construction beginning in 2015.
