Workshop in Liturgy for Hispanic/Latino Congregations

Santa Maria Virgen, Houston will host a one-day workshop on Saturday, May 7, for clergy and laity on Liturgy in Hispanic/Latino Congregations from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Rev. Juan Oliver will address questions about how the Episcopal liturgy helps in growth of our Hispanic/Latino parishes and supports new members. Oliver will also discuss how to support new members and their stewardship.

Oliver is retired adjunct professor of liturgy at General Theological Seminary and the creator of the Hispanic/Latino program in Theology and Ministry at the seminary. He is author of the Ripe Fields: The Promise and Challenge of Latino Ministry and of numerous articles on liturgy.
