Clergy Updates, September 30

The Rev. Alex Large has accepted the call as associate rector of St. Martin's, Houston. He was previously in the Diocese of Washington.  
 

The Rev. Thomas Morris has accepted the call as chaplain at All Saints' School, Tyler. He was previously in the Diocese of Tennessee.
 

The Rev. Keith Pozzuto has accepted that call as assistant to the rector of Christ Church, Tyler. He was previously in the Diocese of Pittsburgh.
 

The Rev. Chad Martin has accepted the call as associate rector of St. Martin's, Houston, effective September 1. He was previously an assistant at St. Thomas', Houston.
 

The Rev. David Browder has accepted the call as rector of St. Thomas', Houston, effective September 15. He was previously the associate rector at St. Dunstan's, Houston.  

 

Daisy Lee Moravits Keppler, widow of the Rev. Mitchell "Mike" Keppler, died on August 30. Please keep the Keppler family in your prayers.

 

The Rev. James Pevehouse has accepted the call as rector of St. Mary's, Bellville. He was previously in the Diocese of Dallas.

The Rev. Ken Fields' service was appointed interim rector of St. Andrew's in the Heights, replacing the Rev. Dorothy Gremillion as of September 9. He was previously the interim at St. Thomas, Houston.

The Rev. Judith Jones will retire as bi-vocational vicar of St. Paul's, Pflugerville, on October 7.

 

Tami Hawkins has joined the diocesan staff as assistant to the Compass Rose Society and assistant in the Bishop's Office.

The Rev. Daryl Hay has accepted the call as rector of St. Andrew's, Bryan. His last service as rector of St. James, La Grange, is October 15.

The Rev. Paul Johnson accepted the call as vicar of a new Bee Cave church plant, starting December 1. He is currently serving in the Diocese of Virginia.

 

The Rev. Robert E. (Bob) Creasy (Diocese of W. TX) died Tuesday, Sept. 24 in Universal City, TX. Bob and his wife Jayne were active in our retreats for retired clergy. Bob was also instrumental in starting Cursillo in the Diocese of Texas. A memorial service will be held at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, Universal City on Saturday, Oct. 5th at 11:00 am. Please keep the Creasy family in your prayers.
