St. Martin's Rector Receives Distinction from Beeson Divinity School

On Tuesday, March 9, the Rev. Dr. Russell J. Levenson, Jr. was awarded the distinction of “Distinguished Alumnus of The Year” from Beeson Divinity School, Birmingham, Alabama.
On Sunday, March 27, 586 parishioners from St. Martin’s joined community social service agencies for a day of hands-on ministry. Members worked on campus and off site with groups that were affiliated with a parishioner or received funding from St. Martins.
Like many schools, St. Paul's Episcopal Day School, Waco, changed their uniforms recently. However, instead of the old uniforms becoming lost in closets around Waco, St. Paul's organized a drive to donate the used clothes to an orphanage in Uganda.
President George H. W. Bush and Mrs. Barbara Bush will be special guests at a ceremonial groundbreaking event on Sunday, April 10, at 10:15 AM at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, 717 Sage Road at Woodway.
In 2000, St. John the Divine, Houston started a fellows program for recent college graduates to “provide a forum in which young people become firmly rooted in their relationship with Christ and are trained to integrate their spiritual lives with their professional career.”
St. Clare College is a very abbreviated seminary approach to formation. Its modules are modeled after a seminary curriculum and include the study of ethics, both Old and New Testament, church history, pastoral care and even church artwork.
Holy Trinity, Houston’s Middle School one-act play cast and crew advanced to state from the regional competition held with other private schools on Saturday, February 26, at Kingwood High School.
St. Mark's, Bay City will use newly remodeled kitchen to serve meals to needy.
