Each year the Diocese of Texas Episcopal Church Women (ECW) choose a charity to sponsor as an outreach project in conjunction with their Annual Retreat. This year the ECW chose to assist with the wildfire relief efforts in Bastrop County.

Two literacy advocates from the Diocese of Southern Malawi are currently on a visit to Texas. Joyce Chitete and Temwa Kalimbe arrived on October 18 for a whirlwind tour of the Diocese of Texas, visiting Houston, Camp Allen, Bryan and Galveston.

Camp Allen raised a record $240,000 for programming and scholarships during a star-filled evening night at the Junior League in Houston for the annual Starry Nights and Campfire Lights gala.
